A wedding photo, Edna married Pesach Nadler in Israel, divorced him a year later. That's Edna's sister in the photo, not Pesach, as if you didn't know.

From here on down, all photos were taken after Edna and I married in early 1990

ca. 1990, post marriage, inside our St. James home

ca. 1990, Edna and twin sister Hana in front of our St. James home

What is that strange claw on Edna's right shoulder?

Edna and new husband Gary at Gary's mother's apartment in Forest Hills, New York

I really spoil the photo, don't I?

ca. 1990, with Hana on her balcony in Long Beach, New York

Edna with the dolls she knitted

After her diagnosis, she gave most of them away, so all her friends would have something of hers

On the mantle is a sample of our mini-ceramic bottle collection; It eventually grew very large and was sold before we left New York

With Hana's Macaw, "Lady", in Hana's Long Beach apartment, also ca. 1990

At a pig meet on Long Island; NO, I'm not in the photo

Edna with the start of our mini-ceramic liquor bottle collection

I used to have swords and rifles over the mantle, but Edna was always afraid of edged weapons

Edna with, oh, good grief, you know who that is, on Hana's balcony in Long Beach, ca. 1990

At Hana's place with Hana and ..., ca. 1990

I think this was in Hershey, Pennsylvania, but I'm not sure

All I'm sure of was that it was taken ca. 1990 and that's Edna on the left

In the dining room at our St. James home; notice how Edna arranged flowers and plants everywhere?

I still recall dragging that dining room set home from a garage sale in a friend's truck, it stayed behind when we moved

Edna with daughter Jenny and her husband, John Farrell, In Sydney, Australia

Edna took a trip back there in August 1990

In front of our back yard fence in St. James, with friend Martin Brecher, ca. 1990

This is taken post diagnosis; Edna's wearing a wig, next to her is friend Adele Kabakoff, ca. 1991

Yup, that's Edna at home in St. James; she always managed to look good, no matter what, ca. 1991

The bandanna and it's decorations were Edna's idea to make a bald head look good, ca. 1991

Now why didn't she make me one of those?

In St. James with Martin's wife, Sarah Brecher and chemo cat Helson (named after a research doctor); Edna with wig, ca. 1991

Edna's hair came back from what she called "curly chemo"

This was a posed photo at a Shriners' photoshoot. I have the same photo showing me with a Fez, but it makes most people burst out laughing, ca. 1992 or 1993

At Hana's place with daughter Jenny, ca. mid-90s; Note the effects of the curly chemo are still visible

At Hana's place with daughter Karen, ca. mid-90s, about a year or so after Jenny's visit; Note the curly chemo is disappearing

A visit to Disneyworld, mid-90s. Edna's smile was always the biggest and brightest when with animals or in fairy tale realms

In 1993-1994, I was Commander General of the Masonic War Veterans in New York

Taken at an annual MWV Convention, Mother's Day weekend, in Kerhonksen, New York (the borscht belt)

At another Mother's Day Convention Weekend in Kerhonksen; Why does Edna always look so pretty and I look like something the cat dragged in?

Edna's last visit to Australia in 1996, with Jenny's daughter Jessica

At Jenny's the only capital letter their pen could write was a "J", hence all family members have names starting with J

Feeding some Roos during her Australia visit; Notice the big smile?

Feeding an Emu

Holding a turtle; Edna, I told you to stay away from ice cream

Not sure of the date of this photo, it may have been taken before Edna's immigration to the states

FINALLY, WE MOVE TO LAS VEGAS, MAY 1999

Eating a baked Alaska at Grand Lux Cafe, Venetian Hotel, 1999

Our den in Las Vegas became Edna's Boyds' room; I have since moved the Boyds and made it into a dining room

This photo appeared in the July 2000 issue of the Las Vegas newspaper, along with an article about us

The Boyds resins are mostly in display cabinets, the Boyds plushes were all over the house, now in boxes awaiting shipment to Jenny

Edna's mom came in June 1990, and every year since; This was taken at the Rio Hotel with it's free Carnival show nightly

That slot machine - in 7 years it only hit the jackpot 3 times; Peter Meyer fell in love with it, so I sent it to him in Sydney

Behind the machine is one of Edna's needlepoints; She took up needlepoint after her arm didn't have enough strength for knitting

The sting of one-dollar bills is for being the 2nd person to open an account at the Smith's supermarket branch of Nevada State Bank

Crab legs at Main Street Station Casino buffet, I believe. After needlepoint, Edna took up beading, note the necklace

Another view of us in the Boyds room; Edna's heavily in beading by this time, necklaces, bracelets, pendants

New Year's 2003-2004, Edna with Mary Ellen Barbot

New Year's 2004-2005 at Bob and Mary Ellen's house, we decided not to go to the rec center any more for New Year's

Sitting with Bella

With Helson, the cat that loved to give kisses

At the "Secret Garden of Siegfried and Roy", Hana was visiting and slightly supported by Edna

With Tony Curtis who lives up the street; Also shown are Roberta Rehn, Mary Ellen Barbot, Irene Jakubas and a stranger

Edna posing with her new front teeth

Edna posing; the angel above Edna's left shoulder was won in a raffle

Another pose; note the home made jewelry

Edna offspring; Jenny visited Karen living on the Gold Coast

Jenny, on left, is holding son Jordan, then comes Karen, Karen's daughter Caragh holding Jenny's daughter Jessica, then Karen's son Adam

August 2005, Edna was out of remission and losing weight; with daughter Karen at Red Rock Canyon

Again at Red Rock with Karen and Jenny, August 2005, I had to get my $%#* face in there

Still August 2005 in our back yard with Jenny; Holy inkspots Batman, is that a tattoo on Edna's leg?

Back yard scene with Karen, August 2005

Edna holding a plush Boyds and Jenny; note the home made jewelry; August 2005

At a hotel in Lake Las Vegas with Jenny, August 2005

One year later, Jenny, Karen, and half-brother Peter Meyer came for a last visit in June 2006

June 2006, hugging half-brother Peter Meyer at the Elephant Bar restaurant

June 2006, Jenny and Karen's last evening with Edna

posing in the back yard, July 2006

Edna in the back yard again, July 2006, note the jewelry

In response to Edna's kids saying she didn't smile enough in her photos, July 2006

This was actually taken in winter or spring 2006; note the bandage around the finger The one chemo combo that really helped Edna's cancer started to ooze out of her finger capillaries, so the doc had to stop using it

Not sure when this was taken, could have been before or after the kids' visit

Same as previous photo; I suspect it was taken before June 2006 because Edna looks like she still has a bit of weight

July 2006, Martin's wife Sarah is visiting; Edna had lost over 1/3 of her body weight by this time; This was Edna's last photo

End of a beautiful, wonderful life
